02 — The Job
The Souls keep
coming.
You are the Reaper, and the Souls keep coming. Every Soul sets a score to beat. Roll your six dice, keep the ones that make a hand, and submit before your rolls and hands run out.
Reap the Soul, spend your Remnants in Purgatory, then clock in for the next one.
Roll the bones.
Collect the Soul.
Clock in again.
03 — The Horsemen
Four Horsemen.
Eight dice.
Eight dice across four Horsemen: a pair each of Bone, Onyx and Blood, plus a Plague pair you unlock through play. Six ride with you into every run. Build gothic poker hands from a humble Dirt Nap all the way up to The Rapture.

What we bring to the table
Six dice tumble across the tray and land where they land. Keep what makes a hand and roll the rest.
Certain rolls set off an Omen before you even pick your hand: a blessing, or a disaster.
Every one of the 112 Souls bends the round its own way. One doubles your Dirt Naps. One might bankrupt you.
Drink a Hex Potion onto a single die to change its type, fix its face or brand it for the rest of the run.
04 — The Collection
Deeper than
it looks.
Every run pulls from a pool you keep growing. Reap Souls to unlock their Relics, brew Hex Potions onto your dice, and chase a hundred accolades across a twenty-level career.
Knights, kings, musicians, magicians, a butcher, a goddess and the Devil himself. Every Soul has a bio, a rule that bends your round, and a Relic to unlock.
Sir Meowington VI has lived inside a castle hunting mice for his entire life and will continue to hunt them even in the afterlife.
Pomella is rotten to the core. She wormed in on her Granny's estate, poisoned her and now runs the orchard like a tyrant.
Hexwart comes from a long line of Wizards from the swamp lands but he's the first to travel to the edges of the realm. His magic is extremely strong and his bodycount is legendary.

Level what you play
A Grimoire levels one of your hands, or one of your Omens, for the rest of the run. Feed the hands you actually play.
Can you open Hell?
Hell starts locked. Work out how to open it and seven more Souls join the pool you can reap: demons, and the Devil himself.
A pool you build
Spend Soul Shards in the Ledger to add new Souls to your pool, and unlock new dice for the six you carry into every run.
Take a break
Spend your Break Time between shifts rolling for rewards, or curses.
Meet Bunk
A little demon from Purgatory and your new co-worker. He shows you the ropes on your first shift and tries to keep you in line, all while feeding off the vermin of Purgatory.
